Introduction

Reinadelatlas LTD. ("Recast", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our content repurposing and distribution platform, including our website, web app, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you must discontinue use of the Service.

Data We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account registration data: name, email address, password (hashed).
  • Billing information: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card details.
  • Content you connect: social media account credentials via OAuth tokens (we store tokens, not passwords).
  • Communications: emails or messages you send to our support team.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, workflow configurations, timestamps.
  • Device & browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL.
  • Performance data: error logs, API response times, content processing metrics.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To process transactions and send billing-related communications.
  • To send transactional emails (password resets, workflow alerts, account notifications).
  • To respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To analyze aggregated usage patterns and improve product features (never linked to individual identity without consent).

We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not show you advertisements. Recast products are ad-free.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Stripe (payments), AWS (cloud infrastructure), Postmark (transactional email). Each is bound by data processing agreements.
  • Platform integrations: When you connect accounts (YouTube, TikTok, etc.), we transmit content on your behalf as instructed. We do not share your data with these platforms beyond what is required for the integration.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Recast or others.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred. You will be notified in advance.

Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (EU) and United States. We employ industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), regular security audits, and strict access controls.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session state. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences from your account settings or browser settings at any time.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit how we use your data.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon cancellation, your account data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. Billing records are kept for 7 years as required by applicable tax law. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Children's Privacy

Recast is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at privacy@recast.io and we will delete it promptly.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
